Roger knows a guy not far from him. He painted my bike before I purchased it but, man it’s gorgeous work. A little pricey but worth the money in my opinion. I’ve got his number somewhere, I’ll look and get back.

Steve, I have friends - the best of the best- in the CBX world. I don't own a CBX Myself but these guys restore them and build the engines: Bill Brint of Tims CBX in Cornelia, GA and Roger Twito (an execellent engine builder) in Bethpage, TN. They built my GPz 750 Turbo and are both great guys, I ...

I sold the benly a while back. I never could figure out the headshake/wobbling I had going on. I think it was bearings. Anyway, I've bought some tube frame buell's and have been playing with those. I hope to get another vintage Honda in the future and I'm glad to know this group is still alive. I ...

Agreed. If they are already the correct color,
You could use a 3M headlight restoration kit to bring a glossy shine back to the plastic.

I picked up a set of the metal top cover ones on eBay
For about $50 and had them powder coated.

It won't crank if you don't set the points per the maintenance manual. I do it static. Line up the timing marks on the rotor in the window. Then hook up a multimeter to the point. Adjust it so it just closes at that point and tighten it down. Then take a socket and roll the rotor bolt back and forth ...

Handlebars

Would someone that has a ca95 stock handlebar around please measure the dimensions of the slot for the internal throttle slide? If you could note how far off the end of the bar and where the notch is for the holder that would be awesome. I have a drag bar I cut with a dremel based on my best guess ...

I have a couple, message me your address and I can drop one in the mail. I think I only have two though. I think the heads are ok. I bought a couple lots on eBay a while back. I'll dig in those.

You may be quicker and easier to take chips advice. I had to use an impact screwdriver to break these ...

Glamorous story chip! There's a reason we all mess with certain vehicles or whatnot. I love to hear a story like this.

Neat stuff Chip. Out of curiosity, what did you use to paint the rubber knee pads green?

Mirror Restoration

I've found some genuine mirrors on ebay. I can clean the chrome no problem, however, the mirror rubber trim looks like it's seen better days. Does anyone know how to restore the rubber trim?
